About Us

Kernersville Music Academy

Kernersville Music Academy was founded in 2014 in order to provide professional musical instruction to students of all ages and backgrounds.

Our faculty members hold at least a Baccalaureate degree in the instrument that they teach.  Many hold a Masters degree or are in the process of completing it. They also remain active in the musical community as performers and educators.

We believe that musical instruction does not solely happen during student's lessons.  It is not only vital that students practice at home, but necessary for their progression and growth.
Exposure to the arts through other mediums, such as symphony concerts and ballet performances also enhances and expands their musical growth and knowledge.

We offer field trips throughout the year to events such as UNCSA Nutcracker, Winston Salem Symphony, Piedmont Opera, and other events.

As artists, both faculty and students, it is our duty to give back to the community. We are able to bring joy to the members of our community that are immobile.  Not only do the community members get to experience the hard work of our students, but our students are able to perform for an audience that is excited to hear their progress.

Many of our faculty members give back to the community by performing and bringing various programs to our local schools.

KMA has been well welcomed by the Kernersville Community and is dedicated to giving back to such a lovely community.  We have recently had the pleasure of working with organizations such as Piney Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Memory Care of the Triad.

Our faculty also create fun and education programs for our local schools as well as perform when needed.  Some of the schools we have worked with include Glenn High School,  East Forsyth High School, Hanes Middle School, Cash Elementary School, Sedge Garden Elementary School, and Colfax Elementary School.

If you would like for some of our students or faculty to perform for your organization or school, please contact our Community Outreach Coordinator.
