Soprano Liv Van Vranken is a native of Virginia but made her way to Winston-Salem to attend the University of North Carolina School of the Arts where she earned a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance. She studied under Marion Pratnicki and Glenn Siebert. During her four years she had the opportunity of collaborating with many wonderful musicians. She sang in the opera chorus of Catan’s Florencia en el Amazonas. She performed with the North Carolina Symphony Orchestra as a daughter in Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance. In her senior year, she helped start an all female indie classical contemporary ensemble called Après moi. This ensemble worked with the school of composition and composers in the Winston-Salem area. Après moi performed at the School of the Arts and around North Carolina. Liv is not only a singer, but also a singer-songwriter! In her senior year she studied under composer Kenneth Frazelle learning how to put her melodies to paper. She is currently working on her album Dry Eyes with Salamone’s Recording Studio soon to launch in summer 2020. In her spare time she is an avid vintage lover working in downtown Winston in a vintage emporium.
